Library Tours

On Wednesday 15 March some of Sydney’s amazing public libraries will throw open their doors in an ‘open house’ giving our STEAM participants the opportunity to explore some great new and refurbished spaces.

Where can we go?
The libraries that will be opening their doors as part of the ‘open house’ day are:

Woollahra Library at Double Bay
Rockdale Library
The Learning Space at The Connection, Rhodes
Campsie Library
Bankstown Library
West Ryde

How does it work?
You get to decide which libraries you’d like to visit from those who have agreed to be part of the ‘open house’ (thank you, we love you) and will make your own way there using public transport (rail). Each of our hosts will offer tours at specific times – click through on the links above to view these.

Its unlikely that you’ll be unable to visit them all in one day so we’ll be providing a description of each one so you can make an informed decision – believe me it will be hard!

We will use public transport (rail) to visit public  libraries on Wednesday 15 March with participants responsible for their own cost. If you don’t already have one you will need to obtain an Opal Card.  All of the libraries are on busy routes and we have provided further details of how to get there on the web.

A visitor to Sydney? – send us a message (ifla@orange.nsw.gov.au) and we’ll team you up with someone who knows the ropes.

Exciting!
